Went scouting for deer today
Not far from where I sit is a sizable chunk of state land that is in the midst of being logged. There were deer prints all over the skidder tracks and plenty of great spots for deer stands. My only concern is that the logging roads make things a little too accessible and come opening day a motorcade of ATVs will being going by our stands. The spots I'm considering are a good 2-3 miles off the main road, but only about a mile off the well maintained logging road.

Don't know how it is there, but I find that just walking a mile or two off of the nearest access road will get you away from 95% of the rest of the crowd.
Good luck!
Good luck!

I agree with O.S.O.K. Most hunters aren't about the work.

I agree with the above comments...
One other tip -- if you can do so, access the area from 180 degrees opposite from where 90% of all the other hunters will be coming in. That doesn't guarantee they will move a deer to you, but it sure does help the odds!
Good huntin'!
