Welcome back. Had you registered on this version of the forum before? If not, that'd explain what happened - everyone had to reregister over here. If you were having problems here, you can always drop us a note and we'll get you fixed up.

I used to be just "KT".
I didn't post here a lot, mostly on the sixguns/sixgunner sites.
What happened to the sixgunner.com site anyway?
Doc Hudson (a friend of mine for going on 10 years now) suggested coming here...said there was a real good group of people here.
He was right!

Know you may have been off a while - good news !!!!! Colorado has been granted Statehood. You'll probably hear all about it when the stage comes through.

Re: Just re-registered
I used to pick on Doc about the "skirt" until he showed me a series of photos where he had 23 guns concealed on his person while wearing that Scottish get-up!AmBraCol wrote:KT-45 wrote:I used to be just "KT".

Doc Hudson, eh? Has he got you to wearing skirts too now?Had coffee with Doc back in '06 when passin' through Mississippi and have corresponded with him over the years. Sixgunner.com changed owners a while back. A lot of the old crowd posts here, some over on the http://www.sixshootercommunity.com forum. Some over on the singleactions.com (I THINK that's the link) forum. You can find links to a variety of forums right on the sixshootercommunity.com site linked above and you'll find a lot of folks there that have been on the various sixguns/sixgunner forums over the years.
I don't pick on him about his clothing much any more.

Re: Just re-registered
It was only 13 handguns Cay, total weight was around 15 pounds. I made those photos after some smart aleck made a wise crack about me being unable to hide anything heavy in a kilt.
Glad to see you made.

Hey, Doc!
Sorry about reporting an incorrect number of guns. They say that "memory is the second thing to go" (I forget what the first thing is). I did remember that there were a BUNCH of handguns hidden on your person! IIRC you said that you 'clanked' when you walked.

The clanking was back when I was giving Pro-Gun Rights Speeches in Marcia's classes.KT-45 wrote:Hey, Doc!

IIRC, on speech days, I'd have the Officers' ACP on one hip, a 5.5" Super Blackhawk on the other hip, an S&W M-686 and a M-19 in the back, the Charter Bulldog in one coat pocket, a .32 Hand Ejector in the other an 8" M-1851 Navy in one boot, and a Single-Six in the other, a derringer in my shirt pocket, a TP-22 in one inside coat pocket and a HEGE M-66 in the other, an S&W M-49 in one front pocket, an S&W M-640 in the other front pants pocket, and there was generally another pistol or two tucked here and there, along with a ball-peen hammer.
On rainy days, I was very careful not to slip and fall into a puddle, I figured I'd drown before I could get up. I still get grins when I think of the expressions on those kids' faces when guns would start coming "out of nowhere." I once figured up that I gave that speech something like 13 to 15 times per year to an average audience of about 25, for 6 or seven years. I figure I spoke to a total of between 2500 and 3000 students in that time, and I think I made a few folks sit up and think about the stuff they'd been fed, and I like to believe that I changed a few minds, and gave lots of ammunition to folks who were already on the right side.
Sure was fun.
