Parts for a Rossi...

Post by Paul T. »

Firstly, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Paul, I'm 19, and I recently aquired an old (10-20 years old) Rossi 92, in .357/.38.

It's been beat to hell over the years. God only knows how many rounds have been put through this thing, and at this point it's missing some parts, and some need replacing, as some are worn to the point of uselessness. But I can't complain, as I got it for free, and it'll provide me with hours of entertainment fixing it, and yet more hours once it's fixed. It's my first gun, and I love it.

However, I'm having trouble finding parts. I've tried Brownell's, which had an utter dirth of anything useful. As well as winchesterbob.com, which has most, but not all, of the parts I need. Also I'm wondering if there's anyplace that'll have the parts cheaper.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks All.

Welcome, Paul!

Which parts do you need?

Steve Young, of http://www.stevesgunz.com ,is THE man to help you. Also, see here:

Hey All,

Thanks for the quick replies.

Most of what I need are screws, as the last owner lost most of them. Definitely need a new ejector. And possibly a new spring cover and carrier. Although, these last two still work ok.

Missing parts:
-carrier screws
-lever & breech bolt pin hole screw
-spring cover screw
-hammer screw
-upper tang screw

Beat up parts
-ejector
-carrier
-spring cover

Suprisingly the bore is still in pretty good shape.

Funny thing though; It already has a metal mag follower, and there's no sign of a bolt safety. So I'm guessing it was made before the plastic follower and safety were added.

Thanks,
-Paul

Paul,

Steve Young also has a neat DVD on the gun. Might help you although it seems you know what you're about.
Sincerely,

You can also try http://www.e-gunparts.com. But, be advised sometimes their parts are used, tho' if not serviceable I've had them accept them back.
