Plans for after my deployment!!!
All right folks, here is one of the things I have been thinking. Buy a SS 336, cut the barrel to 18 or 16 inches, and convert it to straight stock. From what I have read, it should be fairly simple to do. I want to hear what y'all think.

Great idea. Please post pictures as you go along. I wish they made those guns with a straight grip to begin with...

I'm Air Force, currently in Guam. I don't know if it falls under either of those Ops.

I hear ya. No disrespect intended
I would trade you in a heartbeat. Hopefully you don't have to wear the "new"
crappy ABU. The thing is garbage. Stay safe

While I don't like SS, I certainly understand why it's popular. Sounds like a great project. And even tho' you're "Air Farce", thanks for your service. (I hope you'll forgive my feelings, but... the Air Force decided not to hold up their end of an op, I ended up with a PH, but was lucky that was all... Mighta got it anyway... but, hey, ya gotta BLAME SOMEONE!)

Mich hunter, I'm holding on to my BDU's as long as I can. I did take to the no polish boots, even though they are hideous.
Griff, sorry bout your experiences. But I can garantee nobody I work with was involved, welders don't get off base much
No offense taken from anybody!
