OT - Trapdoor Parts Source (OTHER THAN Gun Parts Corp)

Post by Hobie »

I know there's been a couple of Trapdoors built by forumites (don Tomas and Abilene I think) and I think they had another parts provider. I'm particularly looking for a sear spring for a friend. That's part "H" on the Numrich parts schematic. Would buy the other parts (firing pin, mainspring, and more) from that source if he had the one thing Numrich doesn't have.
Sincerely,

Hobie

Might be the same place as already listed, but trapdoors unlimited is one option, and also dixie gunworks has a pretty fair amount of parts for them. And you could also pm Timberlake on one of the bpcr channels, he's a trapdoor nut of the nnth degree.

Hobie,
I'm sure you're aware of Al Frasca's site and Trapdoors Galore out of Las Vegas but here's a couple of more obscure sites I've ordered from with very good luck:

Lodgewood, original Sear Spring (1866-88), $35.00 (their part #OSTD-54)

This is a great place if you don't mind a reproduction part:
SSFirearms, their part # 58S137 SEAR SPRING, Replacement (Circa 1910) $10.00
