OT- Coverage on the Olympic games

Post by Rusty »

Is there going to be any coverage of the shooting sports? Are there any? Anybody know when?

Hi Rusty,
I dont know the individual events but final event shooting is to be held from today Aug. 9th until Sunday Aug. 17th. I dont believe any of it is scheduled to be televised, but I could be wrong.

Go to NBC.com and look, I'm sure it is up there.

FWIW, those darn Chinese proved, with their fantastic opening ceremony, that they can do just about anything they want. Trying to get 15,000 Americans to do all that would have been like herding cats! I don't know about you but it scares me.
Sincerely,

Hobie

One of the HD channels I was looking at today showed shooting being covered on their schedule. I'm not sure which events but the channel was Universal HD I believe.

When the PanAm games were in Indianapolis, the U.S. won more gold medals in shooting sports than ALL the other sports combined, but the news media barely mentioned any of the events, and showed none that I could find - and I looked. Shortly after that was when I decided our household didn't really need a television any more.

There was some trap shooting on MSNBC or CNBC earlier today, but there were no Americans in the top 8.

They're not as flat as you think. They've got to strap those puppies flat so they don't beat themselves senseless.
