The Leverguns "Ranch Rifle" had its first outing!

Post by 86er »

We chipped in at the Summer Safari and hosted 11 yo Lindsay on a hunt. Her Dad just went back to Iraq after only 20 days home in two years, so we thought it appropriate to cheer up her family a bit and let the rifle serve it's purpose. This is the little girl that shot a ram early this year on her first day ever shooting. rjohns94 and altinak took her out and showed her how to shoot the new 30-30 rifle. Later they hunted for a blackbuck that she was able to connect with on her first shot.

Great way to get the rifle used. Things like this are why I feel that hunters, fishermen, and shooters are some of the best people on the planet. You guys made some memories for that little girl which will stay forever with her.

All of you deserve many kudos and and great rewards. How many other young girls and boys are there that need to be this lucky to have good folks share their time to make a memory?

Looks like the gun shoots pretty well... and she did it with Irons too.

Makes me proud. 8)

Definately worth the time & hassle to get it there by Thursday.

OI, thanks for making it possible. The rilfe shot great. Rkrodle had done up some rounds for it and shot very well. Thanks again for the generosity. It was one of life's special moments.

I want to thank you guys for donating the rifle, teaching me how to use it, and taking me out on a hunt. I also want to thank you for paying for the blackbuck hunt. It means so much to me. I had so much fun that day and I will always remember it. Your generosity means the world to me. Thank you so much! Lindsay

Huntress,

It was my honor to meet you, to go the range with you and practice with the rifle donated here, with the ammo that Rkrodle made for the rifle, to see you become acquainted with the lever rifle, to handle it with respect, to shoot well and then to be with you when you took your blackbuck. I was very proud of you that day and I have talked about you often. I hope we have a chance to hunt together again.

Hi to your family, and our prayers are with your dad.. Hope your mom's studies are going well and your sister is well too.
