IF ANYONE HAS COMMENTS OR THINKS SOMETHING WAS LEFT OUT LET ME KNOW ASAP SO I CAN HAVE IT CHANGED. THERE IS ROOM TO ADD ADDITIONAL NAMES.

THE RIFLE IS CASED IN AN OAK DISPLAY BOX WITH GLASS PANELS AND A HINGED FRONT THAT OPENS WITH A KEY.

Thanks to everyone that assisted with this, especially Old Ironsights - who drove r/t to pick up the rifle, paid for it in advance and paid $97 to ship it insured with extra care.

Darn I hate being broke. Contributing to that would have been nice. But for the cause I'll give a hearty thank you to all those who've made it happen.
At any rate the youngster that receives that rifle best have a 360° smile on his/her face. I sure hope to see pics too.

It's a no-safety + rebounding hammer edition.

Because of timing, I never got to shoot it, but from the bolt I'm guessing it's an AE.

Yep an AE. Might be best for a kid starting out, you know they'll put a scope on it...

If you guys need a set of the filler screws for those missing on the top, let me know where to send them.

I also have a correct rear sight assembly to replaced that stamped one. The rear elevator you already have would still work.

Might as make it as original as possible.

FYI: Everybody's "in" that pledged to be in before Joe got the rifle.

So unless somebody has somthing else for Joe to go with the rifle, the "Covering the cost" part is done.

Some folks seem to think this rifle will be given to one person.

Actually, we determined that it will be used for Kids Kamp, youth hunts, new hunters and anyone small of stature, or otherwise interested to use with a free supply of ammunition.
