OT Political - McCain is ready to lead

Post by FWiedner »

Old dinosaur scion to become dad

At well over 100 years old and after showing no interest in sex for over four decades, Henry — a member of a rare species descended from dinosaurs — is on his way to becoming a dad.

Henry is a tuatara — a lizard-like creature endangered since the 1890s that is now only found on a handful of New Zealand’s offshore islands. And at roughly 110 years old, he’s the oldest to ever mate at Southland Museum on the country’s South Island.

The beginning of Henry’s libido rebound came in 2002, when veterinarians realized a lump in the animal’s nether regions was a cancerous tumor. They removed it and, over the next few years, his attitude began to change.

Sorry, couldn't resist...
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

FW,

Very interesting article. I can see the tie in between the Tuatara and McCain.

But since I didn't know what one was I did a quickie search: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuatara

Very interesting critters, sort of like a gigantic horned toad from Arizona.
