OT gun related SW 39 question

Post by Hillbilly »

I have not taken my SW M39 apart in a while. Just how hard should it be to pop the takedown slide stop pin out?

Unloaded...mag out.... safety to "fire" ....slide fwd to the stop lines up while pushing on pin from right side...

I cant get the pin out with thumb pressure. About to take a hammer to the thing.

Am I missing something? I never had this trouble before.

Thanks

Jeff

sorry....

I have dropped and given myself "50"...revoked my weekend pass and will do extra PT in the morning....

The tab that lines up with the round part of the pin (front) has to be in line with the slide lock cutout on the slide

hahaha... with bi-focals it "looks" like a 1911...........

this one comes out like "butter" when I do it right.

I need to shoot this 39 more... it's not really broke in and stovepipes now and then....

Don't feel too bad most of the guys in the drug unit they used to issue them too had the same problem.
