+1 wot Leftydude said.
I use 6.2gr behind cast and 7gr behind jacketed, both in 357, and both are very accurate and a pleasure to shoot.

I think we're all assuming that you mean rifles chambered for the calibers listed. Are we correct?

Also, would you be interested in trading me some of those XTP's for 158 gr. RN cast bullets? I'd be willing to trade you 5 to 1 cast bullets for XTP's, since I have about 4,000 of the cast bullets, and don't really shoot my .357 much. I'm just needing to come up with a good load for my new Derringer.

I had used Unique in the 1970's - 80's for 38/.357, changed up for 231WW. It was a very dirty powder, like BE & RD also Hercules powders.

This past year or so I started Reloading 16 ga. Brass shotgun shells for use in CAS competition. Seems Unique is a good all-a-round 16 ga. Powder.

Well here was a jug of Unique sitting there and I decide to try it again after 30 years. On the jug it states "Clean Burning". And that it is, if you use a tight crimp. I am using Unique again and am well pleased with the results. I have one 44 special load that has recorded a Standard Diviation of 4 on my Chronograph.

I use it for both .38/.357 and .45lc. a bit dirty but works well in my pistol and rifle loads for these calibers.

I have used Unique since 1960 and have always had good results with it in the rounds I load.
Lefty Dude what load do you use for your .44spl? I have a Charter Arms .44 that I load 6 grains of Unique with a 240 grain cast bullet.

I use a Nosler 200 gr. 44 soft point .429" W/ 7 gr. of unique. 750 fps from my Charter Bulldog Pug an ES of 14fps and an SD of 4. This load is a handful with a light 2 1/2" barrel Pug.

I'll try your load, I have some Laser-Cast 240's sized .431". My Charter's barrel Grooves are .429".
I load both 44 spec. & 44-40 with Unique.

The loads I have shoot pretty good out of my Ruger 3 screw Blackhawk. The Unique
powder doesnt seem dirty out of my pistol.I have a handful of 158gr. xtp hp,158gr.Win.
hp,I would trade but I could shoot what I have left in one shoot.I really want to
try cast bullets as I never really gave them a try.
