Welcome to the Leverguns.Com General Discussions Forum. This is a high-class place so act respectable. We discuss most anything here other than politics... politely.
Please post political post in the new Politics forum.
Just a question to those who might know... I just submitted a post and it is too wide to read without scrolling back and forth. Is there a setting on my end that I should reset to get the narrower format when I submit a post?
Is it because the pictures are too big? I resized them to a 15" screen in photobucket.
This used to be one of Junior's pet peeves - along with my politics!
I have to admit, it is annoying. I took Junior's advice and set up my account in Photobucket for smaller pictures. Still big enough to get the best detail, but smaller than even a small laptop screen size.

Just wish I remember how I did this...
Actually Kid, it would be really nice if you and a few other folks reduced the size of their signature boxes to fit the screens as well.
Your signature box and a few others are so wide that they won't fit on my 17" screen. and that makes all of your posts the same width.. I have no objection to the content, just the size or the box.

BTW, having to scroll back and forth on every line to read a post is one of my pet peeves as well. I've missed out on lots of good discussions because I got so frustrated trying to read a long post that I simply gave up.
Thank God the new Forum format does not make every post in a thread too wide for the screen just because one post is too large.

I set all my pics at 600x800 before they get to photobucket. They come out nice and big, but not so big they cause me to scroll back and forth. So far, nobodies complained to me about them.
Having to scroll back and forth to read the text is a big pain in the butt.

Actually, it has as much to do with the settings on the viewer's computer. A 17 inch monitor will easily display Ysabel's entire signature - along with a bunch of content. The secret is resolution. My laptop resolution is set to 1280 X 800 and I can see most stuff - except for the infernal LONG URL's some folks post and full resolution pics some post which won't fit on most screens.
An easy fix on a Windoze computer is to go to the desktop and right click. Choose a higher resolution - 800X600 is minimum anymore. I prefer to opt for something over 1,000. This fits everything on the screen well. You can use the control key and the + and - keys to toggle font size larger and smaller in most browsers.

I have a 17" monitor set to 1280x1024 so it holds almost everything except the ridiculously long links and very large photos. I tend to size my pics as well(600x800) before uploading to save people frustration; especially people with slower connections.
