OT- Mauser G-43

Post by Mike D. »

One of my friends brought a strange rifle down to the ranch this weekend. It looked out of place among the SAs and levers that were being used, but I gotta admit that the thing was a hoot to shoot. I had never seen one of these things in person, either. We went through a pile of old WWII 8 mm surplus ammo, as well as box of new Remington SPs. He is wanting an original stock for this rifle because the original has been cut down to "sporterize" the gun. The mag has also been cut down to 5 rd capacity to make it hunting legal.

Neat piece. I've wanted one since I used to watch to old "Combat" re-runs on TV. Seems like there was always at least one G43 on every episode.

www.sarcoinc.com used to have replacement (repro) stocks.
