Winchester 94 AE pack carbine .30-30

Post by 1886 »

Can anyone provide production numbers for this particular model? How many were produced vs. the .44 mag. model? Thanks. 1886.

I have been interested in the Pack models since I first saw them a few years ago, and have discovered very little informaton on them. I've seen two of each for sale in the past two years. I don't know the answer to your question, but I think the production numbers of both calibers must be very low.

If I ever run across one while in an appropriate financial situation, you can bet I'll grab it, no matter which caliber it is.

I tried to get a 30-30 model but was unable, so I did order a 44 Mag before they were all gone and like it very much. I've not seen any around either. Mine came with the Ashley Outdoors sights and scout scope rail. Real nice wood on this one and it is a very good shooter.

With the latest offerings from Winchester, I was surprised they went out of production on these 94's. Lots of good ideas were coming out in these rifles to my thinking. Would have loved to get my hands on a 25-35 and a Legacy 38-55. Nice guns (and people think I'm just a Marlin guy).

I found one chambered in .30-30. It is new, unfired in the box with all papers/docs. I bought it because I do not remember ever seeing one so I figured they must be uncommon. I think they were produced in 2000-2001 but I do not know the production numbers. The .44 Mag. version seems to be more common. I would still like to know how many were made. Thanks. 1886.
