Which is a shame, because there are some wonderful sights to see. Arlington, the Vietnam War memorial, the Washington Monument - and outside of town, the NRA's museum!

Back in '98 we arrived in Miami and took ten days to travel north to Newark. First and only time I'd been along the eastern coast of the US north of Georgia. We made it into DC and saw a few of the sights. I've "been there" and that's enough. One thing I've noticed, it doesn't matter what country you're in (from my limited experience), the capitol city will have some of the worst streets in the nation... something about all the political hot air damages the streets - at least that's my theory...
