Just got back from a local shop wherein the owner was trying to tell myself and another guy in there that the State of Connecticut has some such interest in the old Winchester catalog that there is no way any of the models formerly made at New Haven can be made anywhere but there. Huh?
When I mentioned the Model 70s now being made in SC, I was blown off like I was some sort of Martian troglodyte. Oh, well...you can lead a horse to water....

Sounds like the fellow was talking up the storm and you stole his thunder.
Not suprising that he'd get defensive when you challenged his self-proclaimed "authority".

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Well, he made the mistake of saying this while showing a Win. 94 to the other customer. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.FWiedner wrote:Sounds like the fellow was talking up the storm and you stole his thunder.
