I have been wanting one of these for a couple years now !
Finally was able to strike up a deal with a guy on Marlinowners for this one about 2 months ago , but it took awhile to get evrything ironed out !
Well today I saw the rifle in person for the first time . It was supposed to be fired about 20 times and it surely looks LNIB to me !
My digi cam is not feeling well so here are some pics I was sent of the rifle before I purchased it .
I think this may very well end my 450 Marlin collection as I now have a 1895M , a 1895MXLR and a 1895MR . Might at some point send my Handi Rifle back to H&R and have them fit a 450 Marlin barrel but since Remington took over that might be a long shot at best

Nice carbine. I've got my eyes peeled for one as well. I've always liked the ".458 American" wildcat cartridge. When Hornady legitimized it and Marlin tagged it I was very pleased. Now I'm just waiting for the right deal to come along. I want one with a ported barrel.
Once I acquire a Marlin GG, I want to build one on a 98 Mauser action. Short, not so sweet, and to the point. I like it.

The one you mention is a 1895G that I bought almost 2 years ago . It's still NIB as I purchased it for conversion to 50 Alaskan , but I can't bring myself to let them take it apart .

Nice to see another fan of the .450Marlin! I have a 1895M but still thinking I'd like to have an XLR. Something about that stainless/ laminated combination that gets me going!

I have a guide gun with a 1.5x5 IR Leopold and shooting two different factory loads it will hold under 1 moa at 100 meters. I was very impressed with it accuracy and have killed three white tails with it.
Hmmmm , just noticed this after I posted the picture .
Wonder why they made the pad on the 450 a good bit thicker then those on the 45-70 or 444
Just looked in the 2004 Marlin catalog and they show them the same way . The 444 and 45-70 with thin pads and the 450 with a thick one like you would see on the Guide Guns !
