Managed to buy ths Model 94 / .444 Marlin (did some selling & scraping).
Been wanting a .444 for quite a while and this will be my first. Got brass and dies on the way already. Should be here next week.
I believe that this is a Black Shadow 94 and it came from the factory with the synthetic stocks. If anyone knows anything more about them let me know. Don't know as much about the newer 94s as I should.
I'll take better pictures when it gets here next week. It's coming from Alaska.

Sorry my friend, only thing I know is about them----is I don't have one. Not yet anyhow. I would prefer a wood stocked model, but look how far ahead of me that you are with this black beauty here!! Congrats, a .444 is certainly going to flatten out something.
To hell with them fellas, buzzards gotta eat same as the worms.

I hear the Winchesters shot the heavy bullets better than the early Marlins when Marlin was using the slower twist. Winchester started with the faster twist right off.
IIRC someone here on the board that lives in (?) Norway maybe? has one and has turned in some remarkable groups with it.

Thanks. Looks like a good place to start.
