OT - Need help IDing a holster...

Post by RSY »

This thing is probably 50-60 years old, belonging to my late grandfather. I have a hunch it's for Ol' Slabsides, but am not sure. It actually fits my standard Ruger Mk.II pretty well.

It looks like to me it fits a Colt SAA 4 3/4, 45 from the markings and from the photo.

That sounds like a darned good assessment. Although, uncharacteristic of a revolver holster, it sits on the hip at a pretty good angle. The belt runs parallel to the left edge there, which puts the muzzle pretty far back.
