OT- Another WWII combo

Post by 2ndovc »

Since I was in a photographic mood. Here's a couple I've had a very long time.

My Remington 03A3 that my Dad gave me when I was 14 and a .38 Spl. Victory Model that I got not long after that.

Nice springfield. :P I have one almost like it that is less than 10,000 under it. 2 groove? I have never fired mine.

BTW, it looks like you have a Kerr sling on that. Hardest sling I have ever installed on a weapon by far. :D

Some people get all the fun toys, lol
Excellent combo!

I have a Model 21 on layaway Gotta love the 44 Special,
always been my camp gun.

I end up paying extra for mine...
Altho I did get given a 6-800 WWII rifle not too long ago.

I will post when I get a few more accessories for it.

really nice!

it's good to see an 03A3 taken so good of care of. i wonder how many are left out there now?

i can remember seeing 03's and old mausers stuffed onto barrels and being sold for $2.50 each at surpluses and woolworths.

This one came in a batch of ten that my Grandfather bought from the DCM for $14 each. I still have the receipt!
Tey sporterized all but this one and was always my favorite.

It does have the two groove barrel dated 12/42. One of the earliest I've seen.

Great shooter that loves 170 gr cast bullets.
