Just thought I'd share a couple of sites I frequent, and I imagine I am not the only one around here whom would appreciate the finer things in life as purveyed below:

Good links, most of the artists on the Texas Music site get good play on XM12; 'bout the only radio I listen to.

I listen to XM 12 once in a while but mostly XM10 and 11 for music and then float between 121 Fox news and 171 the Truckers Channel when I want news.

I don't care for current C & W. But I'm fond of Johnny Cash ballads or Blue Grass non-vocal music.

I prefer David Sanborn or Boney James for modern jazz.

But Baroque music featuring brass ensembles are the BEST. Better than R & R!! Mozart and Vivaldi are TOPS!!

"Don't see much to do with tubas......."

There was a sad tale I heard about a tuba guy. He was in the city, he had to leave his tuba in the car to go do something, it was exposed in the back seat. As he was coming back to where he had parked, he was horrified to see that the car window had been smashed. Running up to the car, he looked in the back seat,....His tuba was there, but someone had put another tuba in the car.

Isnt it amazing how many people post without reading the thread?

Here's an outfit I've used for a while. Access to all kinds of folk music. Most of my downloads have been bluegrass and celtic - both of which are scarce as hen's teeth around here...

Tomorrow there will be an old time music show on the radio here. You can also listen to it for free at wmnf.org it will be on from 6-8 AM eastern.

Old time is "pre-bluegrass."
