Re: Back to Unique.45 Colt
Samsi, my normal .45 Colt loads are 250 gr commercially cast RNFPs over 6.2 gr of Titegroup and also 7.5 gr of WW231. Both are wonderfully accurate loads, pleasant and economical to shoot. The standard deviations of the Titegroup loads in particular are incredibly small.

Re: Back to Unique.45 Colt
Earlier today I was looking for some information and ran across a velocity test I did a number of years back. (Sometime after 2014 as that's when I bought the last rifle used in the test). Although it was probably sometime in 2019, where I used several visits to the range to simply vegetate and deal with my wife's passing by doing something rote, and simple. I have no idea what I was attempting to actually discern, other than velocity data. I didn't do anything with it, except record it in this spread sheet. The bullet was a 200 grain RFN, lubed with Lyman Alox and sized .452, which are pretty standard among my bullet inventory. I didn't record any accuracy notations, nothing. I must have only loaded the 50 rounds to do this test, as none of current loaded rounds include this combo. Which makes some sorta of sense, as the load just ekes over the 12,000 PSI limit I use for my Colt SAAs.
Interestingly, all I can determine at this late date, is that the 45 Colt starts to run out of gas after the 20" mark! LOL. I'd have to actually measure chamber and barrel dimensions along with twist rate to make any further conclusions.
