I just picked up a 'new ' levergun... with a TOP lever that is!
Its a Parker VHE 12ga vent rib with 32" bbls and choked Full and Full.
Most likely a live bird or trap gun. Being a trap and helice shooter I figured needed it!

Of course the recoil pad is not correct, the color case is worn but the ejectors are timed perfectly and most importantly, I got my feet in the pics!
I ran the serial number on the PGCA site and factory records are available. Im curious to see what info they have!

So the guys on the Parker forum have noted this could be 1 of 18 or 20 guns made in this configuration. I knew it was probably a rarity as it is a V grade gun, to have a vent rib you would think a higher grade would be in order.
Thanks Vall, I've just recently gotten into SxS guns. Now I own 5 , two
Parkers, a Winchester, a Rizzini and a CZ. from 12 ga to 410. Though I need a 16 ga to round out the 'set' .
So after posting this Parker on the Parker collectors forum someone chimed in and stated as few as 18 or 20 produced in this model/configuration.
Also after inputting the serial number confirms it's post 1934( probably 1935) production. Also factory records exist so I have sent for the factory records letter.

I think it’s somewhere in the 18-23 area of 32” vent rib guns that were designated trap guns . Typically BTFE , lots of times SST . I had a VHE 12 32” vent rib singke trigger trap forend Monte Carlo stock made in 1937 that for some reason I sold to a friend in PA two years ago and had regretted it ever since . This same fellow sent it to Wyoming to be in a Lock Stock and Barrel auction , Friday I was fortunate to get it back at a savings from what I sold it for . The picture was three or four years ago in WV at a tower shoot , unless I’m mistaken those were the first feathered birds I ever killed with it . Well that’s not counting pigeons in the Colombaire ring .

Parkers , Mannlicher Schoenauer’s , 6.5mm's and my family in the Philippines !
Oh so you did buy that!? Nice that you got it back.
I hope the records come through with details as I'm very interested in the who/what spec'ed this one.
