Lyman 56A on evilbay
I was watching this one, sold for $415. Tried to explain to my son who was watching it also why so much. I couldn't come up with a rational explanation. Is money going out of style and folks are disposing of it before it goes bad? Did someone put something in the water? I'd like one, but not the badly.$150 high but fair, more than $200 , a stretch,$300, gotta be crazy or D.Trump, $415, get the rubber room ready.

The steel sights have GONE out of style and people are getting while they have money and the sight is available. IOW, supply and demand and demand has risen such that the price has risen. Quality sights are worth real money nowadays.

I don't know what got into that buyer, but I recently bought an "as new, in box" Lyman #56 for $115. Keep your eyes open, there are good buys yet available.

Holy Cow!!!
I've paid between $25 and $80 for the 56's I have. At the last Cody show I bought a steel Lyman 66 for $25. I thought about trying to talk him down some, but thought I'd just be benovolent about it and pay his price.

Looks like Lyman could re-introduce the sight, make it out of steel, and make a good profit. I'd like to have a 56 on my model 71 Long Tang.
To hell with them fellas, buzzards gotta eat same as the worms.
