Winchester 94 - .44 Mag Top Eject

Post by Griff »

I've been asked a question from a non forum member... He has one of the early 1969 vintage Winchester Mdl 94s in .44 RemMag, and thinks a spring is missing. I haven't seen on in so long I can't recall the specifics in the action. He describes a spring in the right cartridge guide, but..., in fact, can't picture the part he seems to be missing. So, I'll just ask if anyone that has one, could you post a picture or two that show the right cartridge guide, with the carrier both lowered and raised.

Griff,

I have a set of cartridge guides and a couple carriers for a 94 TE .44 Mag of that vintage. No springs there. They look just like every other 94 part.
In the parts listings I have there is a mention of an extra extractor or ejector spring. But never a photo of the part. And the later TE models did not have it according to the parts listings.

I don't have a complete gun to take pics of though, wish I did.

Thanks Joe, I thought you did, but didn't know if you had the bolt. I do seem to recall that someone here does have one. Maybe they'll see the post.

Griff,

I do have a bolt but it's stripped, and there's nothing unusual about it. I'll hunt up the parts listings and get them too you.

Griff,

Gonna send you two big honkin emails, each with a big pic in it. To get the parts page clear I had to scan it in at 300 DPI. Hope my email sender and dial up don't choke on them.
