Preemie grand daughter
Baby Sarah was born November 15th at 29 weeks. She weighed just 1 pound, 15 ounces. I'm thrilled to report she's now 5.5 pounds and looking like she'll be coming home this weekend! Its been a long, tiring adventure in the NICU for our son and daughter in law, but they are on cloud 9 with her!

Ted, having an infant granddaughter in medical crisis myself, I can understand your joy and relief. Wonderful news!
Re: Preemie grand daughter
Congrats.
A parallel to my story. I was a 2 lb. preemie and if I had survived, Doc said that I would be short and scrawny. Good Lord had other plans as when I graduated from college (a long time ago), I was 6'4" and 230 lbs.

Great news, prayers for the wee one that she continues to get bigger and stronger and enjoys a long life!

My son spent his first 9 days of life in an incubator and on high frequency ventilation with nitric oxide added in. That was 30 years ago, and he is healthy. Rough starts do not mean much in the long run.
