Can the 1894 AE handle ruger only loads..........Joe
Re: Winchester 1894 AE
The internet will tell you it can. Winchester would probably not recommend it. I have shot some Heavy H110 and 250 XTP's in mine for hunting and it does fine.
Paco has a great article on .45's in Leverguns that is a very good read right here on the Leverguns.com://leverguns.com/articles/paco/45coltlevergun.htmm community.
He writes about the strengths of the various '92's, '73's and the Marlin and Winchester 1894's.

Edit to add; Winchester made these same rifles in .44 magnum.

Re: Winchester 1894 AE
Now I am not recommending it but I have about 3000 rounds of spicey 45 colt through mine. My loads are between "ruger only" and 454 casull....zero issues. In fact the rifle is considerably more accurate with these loads than standard pressure. I am using 454 casull brass that has been trimmed back to 45 colt length and annealed. Quickload has me at about 45,000psi
