Spammers
I hope I'm not jinxing myself but the number of spammers has dramatically dropped since the forum started working correctly. I was zapping up to 71 spammers every time I logged on. Sadly maybe a couple of genuine new levergunners were zapped as it's often impossible to tell.

Re: Spammers
I've been digging around looking for ways to keep the flood of spambots at bay. Made some changes in the captcha system that apparently have worked. Since implementing the changes we went from 50+ spambot accounts daily to less tan a dozen in the past week.

Re: Spammers
Paul Mbarjb could be one that got deactivated by accident. When I first started zapping spammers I could see the country of origin and any signature line making it easy to tell a scammer from a genuine request but all I have had to to go on for some time is just the email address some I recognise as spam but some I have to guess.

On an unrealted (sort of) note, our IT guy at work said that to avoid ransomware, you should activate your Russian keyboard (even if you never actually use it). So many of the ransomware sources are Russian that they often scan for and skip computers that have a Russian keyboard activated.

Re: Spammers
I for one appreciate immensely the work you fellas do to keep the spammers from infiltrating this site!
I'm an admin on a automotive related forum and I get spammers signing up daily. Some are easy to spot as they post things in their profile or signature lines that are obviously marketing junk. Some are repeat offenders that share overseas IP addresses I've already banned, but they keep trying to return. Some are just plain suspicious, but I hesitate to ban them right off. But as soon as they make a very strange OT post I give them the axe.
