Some levergun squirrels

Post by FLINT »

For those who enjoy levergun hunting photos

Last month I hiked a couple miles in to a ridge with a bunch of hickory trees I had noticed while hiking previously.

The squirrels were plentiful and I had no trouble collecting my limit of six.

Cooked them up and enjoyed them over the next couple days. Hadn't been squirrel hunting in a couple/few years and had a great day up on the mtn. it was mid october and the hickories and maples were beautiful

The gun was my dads winchester model 150, with an old weaver 4x scope.

Well done, Flint! Very nice rifle, too! I have a Model 150 lever action and the 190 semi-auto that has the lite colored stocks ( maybe birch?). but my 270 pump has the darker color (maybe walnut?). Good shooting guns.

Thats a Great picture Flint! Great Rifle. I'm not seeing many Fox Squirrels here anymore. There have been many reports of Fishers making a comeback in Ohio and sure enough my Neighbor saw one crossing our road last summer. I had to look them up on youtube and they are death on Squirrels.

Sounds like a great time, thanks for sharing. Beautiful pictures. You don't see a lot of Winchester 150s around either.
