POLITICS --> million lawsuit march

Post by Grizz »

it's time, isn't it, to go after the brady's and the boxers and the rest of them who have violated our civil rights for all these years, and gotten away with violating the constitution. the law didn't change, the constitution didn't change, and we've suffered grievous loss of our civil liberties.

it's time to bankrupt the bloody statists

Sounds good to me. But I'd want to bankrupt their supporters too. All the way back to the beginning.

This is not going to be easy. The statists don't take no for an answer. This is going to be a tough fight, but a smart young lawyer can get rich just on the civil liberties aspect of the case. Kind of the reverse of suing the gun manufacturers, eh?

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE ANTI-GUN LAWS HAS INFRINGED OUR CIVIL LIBERTIES,

It's payback time.......

Class action lawsuit never sounded like more fun in my lifetime.....

The problem is they will never quit
til they git`er done. And that wll
only involve getting the right people
appointed/elected to the key positions.

Kind of reminds me of the 72 olympic
Baskeball Gold medal Game (Yes i saw
it) Long story short USA up by one,
3 sec left Russia tosses pass down
court no good, game over NO...clock
did not start? Ref`s let em try once
more, long pass, no good game over,
NO, Russia wanted time out, Ref`s
let em try it again, Long pass down
court, caught up and in..Game over
Russia finally Wins. Yeah they had
3 chances and finally won. USA files
protest to Olympic Board to review
this fiasco. Board controlled by the
COMMIES vote 3 - 2 to deny the protest!! Just goes to show what happens when the right,er wrong people get to be in charge.

The next vote could be 5 - 4 denying
our rights written in the Constitution.

start suing the municipalities, counties and states that have prohibitive gun laws. Then the state reps will swing way away from denying rights. These "statesmen" will learn their lessons after being sued. just hearing the clamour of the march will scare them to death in this election year. We should not let this momentum die. We should tell all that this election is about the Constitution not Welfare and what we can get.

It seems to me that if lawsuits work so well as a weapon for our oppressors perhaps we should adopt the same weapons... Of course, we're the "play fair" bunch and they aren't, maybe we've just been deluding ourselves...

In the old days, it was a .45 that got the baddies to re-think their plan. Today, it is a massive lawsuit. Normally, I not a fan of lawsuits, but when it can be used as a weapon against evil, I'm all for it.

The problem for us is the statists are all over radio and television crying about "the new right that the supreme court gave gun owners."

That's what the spin is. That's what the propaganda is. On the radio and tv the statists are reading the dissenting opinions of the minority as though the minority opinion, the losing opinion is the correct one.

At the very least everyone and anyone who can call in to any talk show, local or national, should get on the air and un-spin the lying overclass.

I never seem to get in to talk shows, but it's time we at least try to do it, because the take-away right now is the losers won and we lost.....

And this is why I think class action civil rights lawsuits are the only thing that can counter the spinners. They're stupider than spit, but they have the full attention of most of the print and tv and half the internet, and they just keep repeating the lies over and over and over.....

+1 on the lawsuits. Here's some important facts to know regarding related Supreme Court rulings:

Murdoch v. Pennsylvania, 319 U.S. 105 (1943) (cannot be compelled to pay a tax in order to exercise a right)

Thomas v. Collins, 323 U.S. 516, 538-40 (1945) (registration to exercise a right is unconstitutional)

United States v. Jackson, 390 U.S. 570, 581 (1968) (government cannot chill exercise of fundamental right)

Minnepolis Star v. Minnesota Commn'r of Rev., 460 U.S. 575 (1983) (taxes on fundamental rights are unconstitutional)

Licensing, taxes and waiting periods are not reasonable restrictions on fundamental, individual rights as licensing, taxes and waiting periods are unconstitutional when it involves one's rights.

i notice the chicago tribune is calling for the second amendment to be recinded...

remember...in most cases the "right to assemble" in having a parade, or demonstration, require a permit from city hall...city councils routinely pass ordinances prohibiting gang members from "assembling" now, too. could that be construed as being unconstitutional?

what rights will be attacked next? i suspect that if the sen from ill. gets elected, it will probably be guns AND religon and be under more intense attacks than ever.

A National Class Action against Brady would be wonderful, and hopefully, breaking them. I'd take part, as should all gun owners. Our different rights organizations should be happy to do that.....I may even re-join the NRA now.......

Unfortunately true. IMHO, “fair play” is for contests of athletic and mental ability, but has absolutely no place in a death match. Something we'd best understand if we want to survive and win this war.

Rather than a single class-action, I'd rather see dozens or even hundreds of individual lawsuits filed nationwide, at the same time. I believe each would have to be answered or lost by default. Could be very expensive for the other side, to the point of bankruptcy, and very difficult to defend against, but would require individuals willing to stand up and be one of the many.

It is not my wish to merely wound them, but to push them under and drown them outright in a sea of red ink.

Yeah, I could go for that.

I just re-joined yesterday! The time is definitely here to move and protect our way of life before the think of something else they can limit or take away.
