I like the political posts. Just think just maybe some our judges read sometimes. They need to know
what others think too. I am sure they know te news media is no reliable source of opinion. I know
that their decisions are based on interpreting the law. Laws are nothing more than men's of the way
they want to deal with life using basic rules. these rules are our laws. Keep up the politics. Our guns
protect our laws and our laws protect our guns.

The major reason that I don't visit / post more here is EXACTLY that... If and when Paco want's to take this forum out of the dark-ages (of single-forum posting) I'll be one of the first ones here to applaud the decision. Until that time, it's up to our (respected) host as to what he wants us to do...

For the record - I have NO DOUBT that this forum would be better served by having more "topic areas".. But I'm NOT the owner... That said - I'm just happy the forum (in whatever form it takes) is here for us to share our love for lever-guns.

Just be sure that you know that "lever-guns" were the assault weapons of the early 1900's - so they are going to come for them (eventually) - make NO mistake about it...
Politicians and diapers both require frequent changing for the EXACT same reason!

Personally, I prefer the "homogenized" single-forum, rather than the endlessly sub-divided ones I've visited. I don't come across nearly as much tangentially interesting stuff on those sites, and ONE of the reasons I log onto Leverguns is to see what ELSE you all are interested in. In just the past year, I've read about making a forge, tempering metal, and all sorts of other stuff I'm NOT interested enough in to "browse" through a topic or site devoted to that single issue, but I have been enlightened and my horizons broadened by this site's single-forum format :o , and I would NOT want it to change...!

Not that the moderators have to go with "majority rule" - but I think many other members have voiced similar opinions as mine, albeit more eloquently, in favor of the homogenous format.

Thus I think it is nice that "political" commentary and dialogue is sprinkled amongst the strictly "leverguns" stuff - otherwise some diehards/hardheads wouldn't ever know what was going on that may affect them someday if they venture off the homestead, or out of the cave.

I'm a member of many forums. I don't like the many subdivisions either. In nearly every case I can avoid the individual forums, and do, by calling up the new posts feature available in one form or another. We can do that here, too, in fact I do do it every day.
Sincerely,

Hobie

Stay with the single forum posting for the reasons that AJMD has already stated. I like everybody together. Easier to see who is posting.
