OSAK,
I have a sporterized 6.5x55
6.5-06 Rem long action( barreled it myself )
ALL the parts to convert a 49/56 to 6.5x55 ( I will have to do the barrel on that also, my gunsmith is missing two fingers on his right hand; accident )
A Romanion SKS (screwed in barrel ) that is waiting for me to do a 6.5 Grendal.
I did not want to hijack the other thread, specially since none of these are lever guns.
I like 6.5

Wow - you are doing some interesting conversions there. But why a Romanian SKS? They have some collector value... but it would be handy carbine...

It was beat up when I got it, whatever I do to it will not hurt it.

So what are the ballistics of that cartridge (6.5 Grendel) and how will they function in the mag? I supose just fine or you wouldn't be doing it....
