Unless I have to go through a metal detector, I pretty much ignore signs that indicate that a place is a gun free zone.

THIS is the kind of strategy I've been trying to encourage since the 1980's, but the majority of gun owners seem satisfied as long as whatever their favorite hobby-gun isn't being banned outright. The 'conservatives' by nature are people who don't really want to tell others what to do, so they tend to be 'just leave me alone and I'll leave you alone' type people, however when conservatives are up against liberals, who will use an ends-justify-means approach to FORCE everyone to bend to their will, their materialism, their shallow morality, and so on, then the liberals win. We MUST be more assertive politically.
