Watching the debate. Chris Wallace is calling Joe Biden "Vice President" without the word "Former" first. Biden is being a total jerk.

More like a brawl than a debate....

(not all that sure that isn't a good thing though....)

Probably nobody in the electorate will change their minds.

People wanted to see a fist-fight.

Yeehah.

I thought Wallace was pretty good given what he had to work with. I think Biden takes it by virtue of not having collapsed or broken down into a gibbering mess, which was a reasonable expectation. But a Telemundo poll gave Trump the win for 66% of viewers polled, which has to be extremely worrying for Senor Joe.

I think the President was trying too hard to rile Joe up on the theory that he would snap. Joe's handlers will prep him for the same thing next debate and Trump will do something different. We shall see, but I don't believe Joe gets through all three without a very serious senior moment.

I am sure he did. His dementia was not as apparent as usual. Someone had to be talking into his ear.

While I support Trump completely, I think he missed a lot of opportunities to get his message out and win votes by instead prioritizing his attack on Biden. And I'm sorry he did that. Just my opinion.

And, I'm not sure an opportunity like that will happen again. Not sure there will be another debate, and if there is I'm not sure how many will watch it.

Agree completely.

Biden, for all of his cognitive decline, has been debating for darn near half a century. Trump's aim should have been to stress his pre-COVID achievements, where he'll take the country and economy again, and just how bad the other sides ideas really are. Ignore Biden as a person.

We've haven't seen a real debate in this country in my life time (56) and probably not in almost everyone here's lifetime. Made for TV garbage that passes for political discourse. Unreal.
