Problems with Big Government

Some are simply inherent due to the numbers involved, or the 'lesser evil' phenomenon you get when there are only two political parties able to attain power due to citizens being only allowed to vote for one candidate from each of two consolidated political parties, instead of 'any' candidate they would accept off of a roster of competing ones.

Don't complain, at least you have a candidate from each party. The Dems have arranged it so that here the top two candidates from the primary are on the ballot for the general election. Lately it seems both have been democrats. W effectively have a one party election in this state.

.

Representative democracy is not a perfect system to address Bureaucratic government, but it's a far cry better than whatever comes in second place.

Our problem as American citizens is that we have allowed the bureaucracy to become too entrenched. Too powerful to the extent that they can wantonly choose to disregard the will of the People whom they are appointed to serve.

The founders pointed out that Republican government can only be maintained by a religious and moral People, and we've lost our focus.

In our great effort to respect all rights and to allow as much freedom as is possible, we let go the reins.

We have allowed the worst elements among the most immoral and atheist segment of the population to rise in influence and to assume power.

The soap box has become a target. Our voices are censored. The ballot box is a farce. Elections are doomed to be fixed.

I'm of the opinion that it's most likely that there is no peaceful solution while the enemy is inside the walls.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
