Apple is entering the censorship game....
Apple has removed PARLER , an "open town square" used by conservatives and others, from their app store. I wont be buying an apple product, have an old LG phone, guess I'll keep nursing it along.

Google has already removed Parler from the Android APP store as well. So switching doesn't get you anything there. Big tech has always supported the Democrats.

You can follow most electronic products straight back to China.

If all these companies are colluding, will they not soon hear from the Feds?

When it comes to quashing conservatives, the Feds approve.

Not to be a PITA, but for now Constitutional is a pretty good stab at it.

Re: Apple is entering the censorship game....
sounds good to me. BUT the constitution has no binding legal authority, which is why and how we're where we're at.
I'd like to roll back the cfrs to about 1787 or so, and start with those laws and reformat the "congress" to require, on penalty of death, lawmaking the way it is supposed to be. As long as congress can pass a 500 page bill that no one has read, and appoint unelected federal agents to write regulations as law, then we are a million miles from the constitution. the list of wrongs is long, and, AND we cannot vote criminal legislators out of office. so we're kind of stuck. perhaps a meteor is falling toward the blot spot...
Re: Apple is entering the censorship game....
Apple is the most anti everything from their labor practices to making insane profit levels the left is always criticizing.
However every last of one of them have an apple phone in their hand.
Yes I know Apple installs nets to catch people committing suicide working for them as I type on a Mac, hope they don't miss.
Maybe they need some more of that liberal science, since they are on the other side of the world they should fall up.

So much for the new I-Mac I was going to order pretty soon. My current I-Mac is pushing 10yo, and has been nearly perfect. I'll see what LG or SamSung has to offer in a large laptop.

The problem isn't the hardware unfortunately it's the OS, Mac is linux based and there software is written specifically for their hardware.
Windows is just a virus magnet and designed to "mostly" work anywhere, haven't had a windows box in well over 20 years.
Buy the mac you plug it in, it works, it auto migrates all your c...ola if you let it, anything you plug in works, you don't need an anti-virus program.
I just don't think there is any other sane choice.
Re: Apple is entering the censorship game....
I just do not like Apple's business practices any more than I like Microsoft's. Both are as crooked as a bent corkscrew.

Sadly, you're correct. My I-Mac is about 10 years old and while it's slowing down a hair, it works perfectly.David wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 9:32 amThe problem isn't the hardware unfortunately it's the OS, Mac is linux based and there software is written specifically for their hardware.

Every 5 years I bought my mom the latest little square thing I could find in ebay. A new monitor here or there... No more fixing the computer every freaking holiday.
I hate Apple but I love my mac. I live in a Linux world using a Windows box is painful so I don't.
Pains are like drama. . Nope
