Want to buy light .257 bullets
Want to buy light .257 bullets
I have a rescue 1899 in 250-3000 I would like to try some 75-87 grain bullets in. My bolt gun in 250 likes 100 grain bullets but they just do not shoot well in this gun. Let me know if you have anything.

Looks like you are after some varmint type bullets. For bigger critters my old slow-twist Savage likes Sierra's 90 grain BTHP. It shoots fine where my 100 grainers didn't shoot quite-so-fine in the 14" twist.

Mostly want to see how well the old girl can shoot. Best i got with 100 grain bullets is just over 3 inches at 75 yards. My 300 model 99 does less than half of that and the bore does not look as good.

I had one of those 250s with the 14 inch twist and it patterned about 6 to 8 inches at 100 with 100 grain bullets but with 87 grainers it would shoot into dime sized groups. I still have some light weight bullets left, I'll check the supply and let you know.

I have a partial box of 87gr Speer TNT but as in the UK might be difficult to get them to you. Happy to try if it helps though.
