Ammo component availability

Post by AmBraCol »

I know that some components are difficult (impossible) to locate right now. I keep checking, just in case. there's a narrow window of opportunity to play this summer and so the various outlets get visited occasionally. Well, Midway USA has an impressive number of bullets and empty brass and other things, even including 44 Special brass (limit one bag of 100). Not any of the other items I was looking for, but do note there's some "odd ball" stuff available that might appeal to some of y'all. If you've looking for something in particular - they MIGHT have it. It's also apparent that some things sell out faster than others. Placed an order for some 195 gr flatpoints for the '06, if they shoot half decent then the hunt will begin for the mold. Their prices aren't horrendous when compared to some of the scalpers out to count coup on the unprepared.

Don't forget estate sales... 2 years ago when I found my '03A3, I came across a lot of what I consider the BEST 45ACP bullet EVER, 21 new, unopened boxes of Speer's 200 gr HP, aka "The Flying Ash-tray!" Me & the owner of my closest fun store split 'em up.
