Addendum To Levergun Accuracy Post....

Post by Blaine »

This was the pic I was looking for when that post was made awhile back.
1951 Winchester 94, 30-30, GreenBox 170s
Fifty or Sixty long paces.
White bullseye is an inch.
Off the hood of the truck on a rolled up jacket.
The shots are numbered.
Factory Iron Sights...

All shots would have made venison. 1st 2 shots wooda missed squills in survival mode... Was these shot with a clean oiled bore?
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

No, I'd shot at some dangerous white rocks when I decided it needed to be sighted in. I did let the barrel cool some....IME, these levers start to string a bit high with a hot barrel.
