March, 2nd - A Special Day For Texans

Post by Blaine »

Texas Independence Day is the celebration of the adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence on March 2, 1836. With this document signed by 59 delegates, settlers in Mexican Texas officially declared independence from Mexico and created the Republic of Texas.

(Now, declare independence from those cussed wind farms  )

People coming in back then wanted to make a better place. Compare that to now. People coming in now just want something for free.

I agree with Scott! God bless Texas.
Three special places on my must-see list once I have had my shots: Palo Duro Canyon, Abilene, and a cemetery in Junction.

The Palo Duro is worth the visit. Take some time and walk around.
