Todd, I still think you need to shoot that darn groundhog on your next pass through Pennsylvania.
We are having high temperatures in the 50s now. Darn groundhog and his 6 more weeks of Winter.

That motorized bike build is just cool!!!! Thanks for showing!!!! :P
I live on the Michaelson Trail, major N-S rails to trails, in the Black Hills, and they allow electric bikes. Not sure about gasoline powered ones as the signs say no motorized, to prevent ATV and dirt bikes. I have a Schwinn 3 wheeler, with only one gear for sale now, wish I had your talents!
Went to an older mountain bike to get gears and exercise, now maybe when the snow leaves(clearing pretty fast with temps the past several days) maybe get to get out on the trail except for soggy areas.

Thanks guys, it hasn`t been fully tested yet but hoping for the best.
We tried it in the yard yesterday but the tire gets wet from the snow and the drive pulley slips some but it did go so think it will be fine on a dry tire.
Just put a throttle and a latch to hold it engaged, going for a kill switch next. :)

Pitchy, great project you got. I'm assuming illegal in MN but I always ride slow and shut off motor when I see people. What brand motor is that? I keep looking at the Harbor Freight 3hp and thinking it'd be nice to use.
Grizz, i could show you how to easily evade freeways and still have paved shoulders! Todd/3leg

Thanks Todd, yep it`s a Xtreme power motor, seems to run great but haven`t run one enough to know it holds up.
I also have a couple 6.5 Predators too that run great for the money.

I like the looks of that bike Lenn. Fire that baby up and come on down. It's downhill all the way isn't it? 70 here today and almost calm winds. Think I'll go sit on the porch.

Neat build Lenn! Next thing ya need is a little jet engine! A buddy of mine's dad bought a bike with a jet engine installed really cheap, seems the guy that had it was afraid of it- turns out doing 60+ on those tiny 10 speed tires scared the begeezus out of everyone that tried it!

60 plus on any bicycle would make me more than a little nervous.

Fastest i been on bicycle is 47mph going down a hill in Alaska. I didnt know til 4 hours later when I was going thru my computer for my miles for the day. 35-37mph was my limit even when I was a young'un...
