More fancy grips

Post by TedH »

After wvfarrier's post of his mammoth tooth grips I thought I'd share these Mastodon Ivory grips, also from SK Grips. 10,000 years in the ground can deposit certain minerals that give amazing colors. These are on my 10mm Ruger.

Usually the firearm is the conversation piece but those grips start a whole new conversation....

Ted, those grips are amazing and one of a kind too. We seem to have similar tastes in 1911's as mine is also in 10mm. :D Grips are stabilized California buckeye burl. -Tutt

I'd love to own real ivory for my 1965 Colt, but faux is all I can afford.

Some nice looking grips guys.
I like aged ivory.......but.....you know.

I do have a set of aged look Tru-Ivory that fit a Ruger XR3-Red frame. Wish they were for a Colt SAA.

Have some stags on these 1911s.

Curious, found these by Esmerelda. Even prettier than my grips, for which I provided her the original blanks. These are prettier than mine I think, just not ambidextrous. I would say "buy" if they work for you.
