Last day !

Joined some friends today for the last day of deer chasing . We did six man drives but no shots were fired even though we spotted several . Wanted to take Brutus but I didn’t feel like toting a 14 pound gun so ended up with a little Parker VH 16 gauge with 26” IC/M barrels on an 0 frame .

I must be getting old ! Yesterday I joined this group after only a couple hours of sleep Friday night and tramped around all day . Got home last night out stuff away etc , took care of my dogs and was asleep by 20:30 I think and pretty much slept until 08:15 today . Today’s is a lazy day so I can recooperate for quail on Tuesday

I took Claro out yesterday, she happily found & flushed a couple pheasants- even more happy to fetch em !
This morning I took Parker and my CZ 410 out, she too was happy to find me 3 birds!!

I’ve got a Rasawek quail hunt this Tuesday , a Christmas Hill Pheasent tower deal on 1/16 . Possibly a continental shoot at Prospect Hall on 1/23 . Another quail deal at Rasawek on 2/20 as well as a Christmas Hill Pheasent deal on 2/13 . The guys I hunted with yesterday are big on rabbits and stay after me to join them , I might do that atleast once this season .
