Stopped by a local gun shop today.
Out checking on rental properties today, changing furnace filters, etc. and thought I'd swing by one of the local shops out of curiosity. Parking lot was full as usual lately, most were stacked up at the gun counter and ammo shelves. They've put some limits on most of the really popular stuff. The reloading stuff was really worked over except the 8 lb jugs. I grabbed an 8# H110 for much less than I could order one, even if I could find it. I have plenty of everything else I use except I'd like to have a big can of Varget, I go through quite a bit of that one.
So happy birthday to me.

Good snag Jason. Three weeks ago I was in a local shop , they have folding tables set up for people to do FF'Ls at the gun counter . there I see some boxes of primers across the counter A clerk walks by can I help You ? I ask about the primers. He says small rifle $33.00 you can only get a thousand. Okie Doki I'll take them. Like they say on American Pickers "buy it when You see it". .

That's for sure. I'm very happy I bought what I did when things were more stable. Number one son and I have been sorting and organizing reloading stuff and ammo on and off for a couple weeks. Found stuff I forgot I bought and a whole case of 62 gr. 5.56 I don't even remember buying.

Re: Stopped by a local gun shop today.
One of our people brought a lot of Winchester LP primers to the shoot in Arkansas, I bought 5000 on the spot as he was asking a fair price. I didn't really need them, but there's no reason not to have them.
I'm glad to see that some powder is getting through to dealers. Before Thanksgiving I ordered 8 pound jugs of 231 and HS6 because I'm not seeing any powder on the shelves here in San Antonio.

I had a fellow offer me 5000 Tula small pistol primers yesterday. Only $500. So I bought them.
Kind regards,
Tycer

Stopped at Cabela's in Allen on Friday. Not a primer on can of powder in sight other than some Pyrodex and Blackhorn. I guess that no one hunts with muzzleloaders. Not sure why they wouldn't. Yes, there are those who show disdain for inline or modern muzzleloaders. Let them drive their Stanley Steamers and read books by kerosene lamp while using outhouses.

I have 99% of what I need, but was able to order a few more pounds of TiteGroup which is a new powder for me and still chasing some more Varget. Didn't realize that I'd gone through as much as I had.
Going to take a ride to a little larger shop tomorrow to see what's doin'.
