This is the 3rd year that I have posted this picture while at deer camp. So many have replied with positive comments I thought it would be good to show again especially this year! Enjoy

Steve, back In them days the camera had to have somebody behind it to click the shutter. And he wanted his rifle included in the picture.

I worry those days are now gone. Get ready for mandatory vaccinations which still wont alleviate all the restrictions They just locked Europe down again to soften them up to a vaccination push.

Just like you can only get so far in life because of the good reputation of your parents; at some point YOU have to prove yourself... None of us are going to get any freedom handed to us that we don’t fight for.

The problem with most of us is that we are fundamentally ‘romantics’ who reminisce and revere a time and place where intelligence and strategy and yes, even violence, were the way to win. Now that path is more complex, and includes very unpleasant things like spending time on telephones and on hold and faxing and writing and generally annoying legislators, who we respect about as much as what we scrape off our shoes after walking in the dog pen.

Unfortunately, that is the reality.

Most of my conservative friends are incredibly well-versed in history and philosophy and science and logic, and most of my liberal friends are incredibly well-versed in emotion and suspicion and fear and hate for anything that challenges their naive, childish, and narrow world-view.

They are nice people, with good intentions, but I’ve been missed lead into thinking that their armchair quarterbacking of current events somehow gives them authority, despite the incredible amount of miss information they used to make decisions.

Instead of hating them, as many of them do us, we need to try to educate them as to the real world, the real history, the real political situation, the real facts, and the real consequences of their political positions. It’s not particularly difficult, because history is rife with illustrations of what happens when you embrace the so-called ‘progressive’ agenda. People die, real innocent lives are lost, real nations are destroyed, real poverty happens, real deaths and starvation happens, and real power grabbing elites rise to power under their supposedly egalitarian policies. Facts are facts. And as Ben Shapiro comments, “my facts don’t care about your feelings”.

We don’t get to solve today’s political and social problems by use of our woodsman ship or marksmanship. We have to participate in the political sphere the Democrats have twisted for the past 50 years to enrich the big corporations and the Moocher-class at the expense of the working-class. Unfortunately, far too many people are so self-absorbed and thinking about nothing other than materialism and the superficial aspects of life, that they really don’t grasp what is happening; They are assuming that today’s Democrat party is representing what it did 50 years ago, which is about 180° the opposite.

We ALL need to get to work NOW...

Sorry it isn’t as simple as it was 200 years ago... :|

That's a wonderful photo evoking an era not so far gone. Love that dog.
As for vaccinations, I would have volunteered my worthless old carcass for a trial if I could have. I am all for them.

Vaccines have saved millions, and maybe billions of lives.

That dog might have been there to track down wounded deer. Looks like a terrier. Even with taking good shots, deer can sometimes run a little way. One dog I used to have loved running up to the target and barking at my arrows after each shot. She would wait beside me until the arrow hit the target, then she went after it just barking like crazy. I haven't shot an arrow since she died.

Sure did. But ban alcohol, smoking and junk food youd save even more lives. I still like the choice.

I am not advocating mandatory vaccinations. Adults should be allowed the choice for themselves and their children. I am just pointing out that they have saved lives.

I think we all should take whatever opportunity we have to be in a hunting camp with good friends again. We should not let this tradition die out.

I have a theory about the extra levergun. I think someone had to take the photograph and it is his levergun.
