Very cool! Happy Birthday... but really? How can one even survive with only 2 1911s? I have 7, and still feel the tug to acquire at least ONE more!!!

I'll be darned. 8)
Fedex brought me a 1911 on Saturday, but a different kind -- made in Switzerland in 1913 and chambered in 7.5X55.

For me, the concept of the “double stack “1911 was the game-changer... It actually fits my hands far better and more comfortably and controllably. If I had to walk through the gates of hell carrying nothing but a handgun, it would probably be my Para Ordnance 1911 P-14. The 20 round magazine only sticks out about a couple inches below the grip, if somehow 14 rounds is not enough...

While many folks like the G-Lock I ain’t one of them . If I’m not carrying a 1911 it’s more than likely an S&W pinned recessed cylinder revolver . As to a semi as a hunting gun I have a Kimber 1911 6” in 10mm that does very well with my 180 and 200 grain homecast handloads . As to needing 17 shots to kill a deer or two , well do as you want . But to me a G-Lock as the Hoodrats call it , isn’t for me .

Hey happy belated birthday! That little '11 is cool, like the 1/3 scale cap & ball revolver a buddy of mine has.
