I have always wanted a muzzle loader with a Curly Maple stock.....cool looking Marlin 8)

I really like maple and walnut . I’d be willing to bet Grice had something to do with that gun .

Never been a fan of light colored stocks, and with the dark checkering even less. I prefer walnut, and the darker the better for me personally. I do own two rifles with birdseye maple stocks, and they're a darker wood than this curly maple. Still rather have walnut, but they're OK.

This one is a Schoyen Ballard in maple stocks.

Personally I really don't care what color the wood is- just so long as its FANCY!
