a big day

Post by jnyork »

Well, folks, tomorrow the 10th of October is the 40th anniversary of my 40th birthday. Yep, the big 8-0 is upon me. My mind is still 25 but my body just laughs at that, it doesn't cooperate at all.

Dont have anything big planned for the day, just celebrate still being above the sod, I guess.

Hope all of you have some sunshine of some sort in li in your day, try to have a sense of humor .

Best Regards.

Jerry

Congratulations. My body isn’t quite as old but then I think my mind is still about 14 or 15, given my sense of humor and tendency to do stupid things.

Happy Birthday!
If you are 80 now, you lived through some pretty good times in the country.
If you were turning 8 now, I'm not so sure.

Enjoy the day.

I think I was born middle aged. At least my personality was.

Here's wishing you a very happy birthday, Jerry. Eighty is most certainly a milestone in a man's life.
I will be turning seventy in December and have decided to stop looking for the fountain of youth. I'm lowering my sights and would be content just to find the fountain of middle age! :D

Congrats on turning 80. I did it almost 2 years ago. Guess it's better than the alternative. I get so aggravated when my body wants to quit after only 3 or 4 hours and I still have a full day's work to do. And these darned knees I had replaced hurt constantly and now the left shoulder I had rotator cuff surgery on is starting to hurt again. Guess it's worn out. Just hope the right one doesn't give out too as it was done about a year later. But I can still sit and rub my Colts and Winchesters. Even loaded a little ammo this week. Now to find time to do some shootin'.
