Gotta figure folks figured out long ago about pointy bullets in a mag tube. But it was impressive. Still, they should have used a mag tube with the appropriate spring. There is some give and the tube is stronger than plastic and cardboard.

The problem is - if and when it does happen, it won't just happen 'a little' cuz it's the first time; looks like it could be a huge kaboom involving your left arm or more.
It would have been cool if they had a slow-motion video of it. I wonder which cartridge the one was that didn't detonate...? I'd bet the front one, as it may not have had as much 'inertia' since there weren't others in front of it like with the others.
It is one nice thing about the gummy-tips, and one nice thing about guns like the 357 Mag, that barely recoil. I shoot lots of cheap RN-FMJ 38 special loads (UMC/Win) in my 357 Mag leverguns, but even with that fairly hard fairly pointy nose, I don't fret.

You have been rewarded with Slow-motion Video.

I thought everyone knew about this possibility.

It is kinda' old news since R.W. Ballou did the same thing 15 years ago and wrote it up for "Gun Digest" and then a couple years later did a more comprehensive write up in "Rifle" magazine. But he used regular steel rifle tubular magazines and so didn't blister the paint on his board, so it wasn't nearly as dramatic.
