So you could do some 'long range' shooting when it comes to ballistics and trajectory, yet not need the long yardage you'd need to do the same thing with say a 45-70...

Funny how the crimp makes so much difference in those little bullets. I have been told that a good consistant crimp is necessary in averything else.

I went with the 22 Hornet. Single shot rifle and handloads. Bullet weights from 30gr to 52gr work well. L'ilGun is my powder of choice for the Hornet.

17 grain bullets moving that fast are probably good for ground squirrels.
